really long time no writing. always busy with something. in fact that's nothing. Thanks God, I often think that i need joys. many things in realities make me lost them, difficulty in work, bb in face, exams in coming. life seems such things always with me. but i have to say that there are many things exciting each day. this morning i got early and did not feel sleepy. i read Bible and did some other reading before 8:00. and i am heathy basically and can care myself and some others. thank God, I STILL can do everythings a mormal person can do. so rejoice. go away, santa!
echo-locating in bats
certain bats emit squeaks and by receiving the echoes, they can locate and steer clear of obstacles or flying insects on which they feed.
how this happens? to get a full appreciation of this, we must turn to some character of the sound. you know, every solid object can reflect a sound, varing according to the size and the nature of the object. for instance, a sound made by tapping on the hull of a ship will be reflected from the sea bottom, and by measuring the time interval beween the taps and the receipt of the echoes, the depth of the sea bottom of that point can be caculated. so was born the echo-sounding aparatus, now in general use in ships. the principle of echo-locating in bats is similar. bats can 'caculate' the location of solid objects before them by the echoes they received.

People usually believe that sport could create goodwill between nations. if only the common people could meet one another at football of cricket, they would have no inclination to meet on batterfield. but it is not necessary the case, the 1936 olimpics for instance. moreover we can deduced it from general principles. neally all sports practiced nowadays are competitive. they are almost meaningless unless you play to win. to youself, wining the contest means you win many other things, feeling of prestige, money awarded, and status in certain field. to the nation your behalf, your win means the national virtue is proved in the world. therefore, as soon as the feeling of prestige arises, as soon as you feel that you and some larger unit will be degraced if you lose, the mose savage combatic instincts are aroused. thus sporting contests at the internation level become mimic warfares.
